Your data, in plain English.
This is a workshop business run by people, not a faceless company. We collect only what we need to run the workshop, talk to you, and help you build. We do not sell your data. Ever. Here is exactly what we do, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
01. Who we are
BuildSolo is operated by YOUR-COMPANY-LEGAL-NAME, registered in India at YOUR-COMPANY-ADDRESS. We run online workshops that teach people how to build their own websites and run their own ad campaigns using AI tools. When this policy says "we," "us," or "BuildSolo," it means that company. When it says "you," it means anyone who visits the site, fills out our application form, or attends our workshop.
02. What we collect
We collect two kinds of information.
The things you tell us
When you fill out the application form on our home page, you give us your name, email, WhatsApp number, what you do, your city, and any notes you choose to add. If you go on to join the workshop, we collect payment details through our payment processor (we never see your card number ourselves), plus anything you share during the sessions or in the community group.
The things your browser sends us
When you visit the site, your browser shares standard technical information like your IP address, browser type, device type, screen size, the page you came from, which pages you viewed, and how long you stayed. We use this to understand what works on the site and to fix what does not. We also capture campaign tags from the URL (UTM parameters and Google or Meta click IDs) so we can tell which ads brought you here.
03. Why we collect it
We collect what we collect for these reasons:
- To reply to your application and tell you what happens next
- To run the workshop, including admitting you to sessions, sending recordings, and adding you to the community group
- To take payment for the workshop fee
- To send you logistics updates about your batch
- To measure how well our advertising and content are working, so we can spend less on what does not work and more on what does
- To protect the site from spam, bots, and abuse
- To meet our legal obligations under Indian law
That is the full list. We do not collect data for any other purpose. We do not build profiles to sell. We do not enrich your record with data bought from third parties.
04. How we use it
Everything you give us goes into ordinary business tools. Your application sits in our email inbox. Your contact details go into a contact list we use for workshop logistics. Your messages in the community group stay in WhatsApp. We use analytics tools to look at site behaviour in aggregate, not to single you out.
We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not feed your application or your messages into Claude or any other model. If we ever change this, we will tell you first and ask permission, not the other way round.
05. Who else sees it
The companies we use to run the business will see some of your data. They are bound by their own privacy policies and by contracts with us. The main ones are:
- Web3Forms: receives and forwards application form submissions to our inbox
- Google: Workspace runs our email, Analytics measures site traffic, Ads runs our advertising, Tag Manager controls the tracking
- Meta: WhatsApp Business hosts the workshop and community groups
- Vercel: hosts the website and serves it to your browser
- Our payment processor: handles workshop fee transactions (specific provider disclosed at checkout)
We will share your data with law enforcement, regulators, or courts only if we are legally required to, and only the minimum needed to comply.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone for any purpose. Full stop.
06. How long we keep it
Application data is kept for as long as you are a participant or a prospect, plus one year. After that, it is deleted unless you have asked us to keep it (for example, to be told about future workshops).
Workshop participant records (your name, contact, payment receipt, batch details) are kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law, which is currently eight years from the end of the financial year.
Analytics data is kept for the default retention period of the tool collecting it, currently 14 months for Google Analytics.
07. Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies, set by us and by the services we use. They fall into three groups:
- Essential: needed for the site to work. The form needs to remember your inputs while you fill it out.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, set through Google Tag Manager, to help us understand what works on the site.
- Advertising: Google Ads, to measure which ads brought you to the site and to show you relevant content on other Google platforms.
You can disable or delete cookies at any time using your browser settings. Doing so may affect how the site behaves for you.
08. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, and as a matter of basic respect, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate
- Delete your data, except where we are legally required to keep it
- Withdraw consent at any time, with the same ease as you gave it
- Nominate someone to act on your behalf if you cannot
- Raise a grievance about how we have handled your data
To exercise any of these, email contact@buildsolo.in. We will respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
09. How we protect it
We use HTTPS on every page of the site, so anything you submit travels encrypted. The form is protected by a honeypot and a dwell-time check to keep bots out. Access to our email, analytics, and ads accounts is limited to the people who need it, with two-factor authentication on every login.
We are a small team. We cannot promise perfect security, because no business can. We can promise we treat your data like our own.
10. Children
The workshop is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, when the law changes, or when we add new tools that handle your data. When a change is material, we will email anyone affected. The "effective from" date at the top tells you when the current version started.
12. Contact and grievance officer
